Execution of the "Great Harlot" Nears ***
2 Thus, God gives his humble servants special knowledge that others
do not have. As the apostle Paul said: “This wisdom not one of the rulers
of this system of things came to know . . . For it is to us God has revealed
them through his spirit.” (1 Cor. 2:8-10) Having advance knowledge
from Jehovah, his servants are equipped—indeed, commissioned, by God—to
herald throughout the world the warning of this system’s approaching end, along
with the comforting message of the new order.—Matt. 24:14.
3 Since Jehovah provides his loyal servants with advance knowledge about
this system’s end, does this include information that will enable them to discern
when the “great tribulation” actually has begun? Yes. What is that evidence?
It has to do with God’s execution of judgment against what the Bible calls “Babylon
the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.”
(Rev. 17:5) And already, yes, right now, events are taking place that are preparing
the way for that execution!
How
and by what means is this special knowledge being given to the "faithful and
discreet slave"?

19 Yes, the “faithful and discreet slave” was awake to the coming of 1914. In 1942 the “faithful and discreet slave” guided by Jehovah’s unerring
spirit made known that the democracies would win World War II and that there
would be a United Nations organization set up. Such wakefulness was concerning
events that unerringly took place three years later. At the 1958 Divine
Will International Assembly amazing advance information in connection with Daniel’s
prophecy was given about events to occur in the immediate future. Such evidence
of spiritual foresight is recorded for us in the book “Your Will Be Done on
Earth.” Onceagain the “faithful and discreet slave” has been tipped off
ahead of time for the guidance of all lovers of God. Surely one’s present
security depends on his staying awake with the “faithful and discreet slave.”
How
was the “faithful and discreet slave” tipped off ahead of time by knowing the
democracies would win World War II along with a United Nations organization
set up?

Overseers of Jehovah's People ***
7 Let us now unmistakably identify Jehovah’s channel of communication for our day, that we may continue in his favor. Listen to the inspired answer
to the situation, in Matthew 24:45-47 (NW): “Who really is the faithful and
discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics to give them their
food at the proper time? Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds
him doing so. Truly I say to you, He will appoint him over all his belongings.”
And has he? Yes, particularly since 1919 has it been true that he has appointed the collective body of the anointed remnant over all the visible
interests of the Kingdom. The “slave” then became responsible not only for
ministering to the needs of the anointed body members but also for taking on
the responsibility of preaching the good news of the established Kingdom to
people of all nations. (Matt. 24:14) Such is true not by their determination
of it, but because God himself has so directed. “God has set the members
in the body, each one of them, just as he pleased,” is the way it is pictured
in 1 Corinthians 12:18 (NW). It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond
to the directions of the “slave” as we would to the voice of God, because
it is His provision.
How
does the Watchtower Society know that Jehovah chose it as "THE ONLY TRUE RELIGION"
in 1919? Has the Society shown itself to be "faithful and discreet" by making
false predictions regarding the time of the end? Can the Society rightly insist
that true Christians place full trust and confidence in its words, predictions
and claims, when many have changed over the years? How can we respond to the
directions of the "slave" as we would the voice of God when their directions
are false predictions of false dates?

We Need Jehovah's Organization ***
God’s spirit operates upon his dedicated servants today, not to inspire them,
but to move them gently in the direction of increased understanding. It
permits them to make mistakes as they grow in understanding of God’s Word, but
in time it helps them to see their mistakes, which they gladly correct.
How
does God's spirit move them gently, but not inspire them? The word inspire or inspiration means:
Something conveyed to the mind; to communicate divine instruction;
to infuse ideas.

to the anointed people on earth.
